Pete Morely-Watts, Swan’s Director of Care and Support has scooped the ‘Housing Professional of the Year’ award at the prestigious 24 Housing Awards and the Housing Essex Excellence Awards. Pete, who has worked for Swan since 2015 has had a significant impact on the lives of many vulnerable people throughout his career. He is also dedicated to being the best manager he can and recently became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management.

Swan Housing Association has today welcomed Julia Lopez MP to Heather Court Foyer to celebrate achieving formal Foyer Federation FOR Youth accreditation. The accreditation celebrates the quality of the service Swan provides to the young residents who live at the Foyer in Harold Wood, Romford.

Swan’s Supported Housing Team have been working to bridge the generation gap with a Growing Together gardening project. Charlie, a young resident living at Swan House Foyer in Basildon travelled to Dobsons House in Rayleigh where he joined staff and residents to replant the garden.

Swan Care and Support South recently underwent a Care Quality Commission (CQC) Inspection and are delighted that they have, once again, been rated as good across all five areas. The inspection took place with just 48 hours’ notice and involved seven staff, seven service users and five relatives.

Dove Cott House held a summer sports day event for the children living at the supported housing accommodation. With an average age of just two years old, we decided the children deserved the opportunity to have their very own sports day, with the engagement of their parents.
