Swan Care and Support South recently underwent a Care Quality Commission (CQC) Inspection and are delighted that they have, once again, been rated as good across all five areas. The inspection took place with just 48 hours’ notice and involved seven staff, seven service users and five relatives.

Yesterday The Cannons held yet another successful Christmas party, involving customers, friends, families, social care partners and of course the fabulous care team.

Following her previous win in March this year, Hollie, a former resident at Swan House Foyer, attended the TPAS National Finals after being named as the TPAS Young Tenant of the Year for the Southern Region.

The young parents and their children living at Dovecott House have been painting a Lion King / African inspired mural to brighten up their communal lounge.

Dove Cott House held a summer sports day event for the children living at the supported housing accommodation. With an average age of just two years old, we decided the children deserved the opportunity to have their very own sports day, with the engagement of their parents.

On Wednesday 21 March, some of our young parents made the journey with with their children to Boyescroft to have afternoon tea with our residents there. Boyescroft is one of our Sheltered Housing schemes in Great Dunmow.

We have a resident living at The Cannons who has learning disabilities. She was not born with cognitive difficulties; these were caused by neglect and abuse from birth. She never went to school and was kept away from others her own age. She has suffered many types of abuse from all members of her direct family.
