Housing for people with learning disabilities
We have over 200 properties throughout Essex in a mix of self-contained flats, bedsits and shared houses specifically dedicated to housing and support for people with a learning disability.
People with learning disabilities have a significant, lifelong, condition that started before adulthood, which affected their development and which means they need help to understand information, learn skills, and cope independently. People with a learning disability are also individuals with varying levels of ability, assets, skills and community connections.
Our Enhanced Housing Management Officers offer different levels of support ranging from weekly visits for those in need of very low level support to more frequent visits for those who need it. In conjunction with our partners, some of our schemes also offer 24/7 personal care, meal planning and daily activities for those with a high level of care and support.
